Head Start Programs

The Head Start program is a nationally funded program that promotes school readiness through quality early educational experiences and services including health, mental health, nutrition, social services, and parent involvement. Head Start's approach is comprehensive, including the child, family, and community. Head Start provides services to families and young children, including infants, toddlers, three, four, and five-year-olds. Head Start services are free for all families who meet federal low-income guidelines. Families with children with special needs or who receive public financial assistance may also be eligible. Those who are not eligible for free services may qualify to enroll in Child Care services for a minimal fee at a Head Start program. Applying to Head Start is easy!
