Family Support Programs

Massachusetts Family Network (MFN) is a family education and support program for families with children prenatal through age three. MFNs provide a variety of services, often including:

  • playgroups
  • home visits
  • developmental screenings
  • adult and family education
  • parent support groups
  • family literacy activities

Parent-Child Home Program (PCHP) is a home visiting program that:

  • provides home-based literacy and parenting guidance
  • models literacy interactions with young children (starting at 18-30 months) and their families
  • emphasizes parent-child verbal interaction critical to early brain development
  • serves families who are low-income and/or educationally at risk
